Community Reminder: Tree Trimming

As we head into the winter season, Management would like to share an important reminder regarding tree maintenance throughout the community. The City has been reviewing trees and landscaping that have become overgrown and extend into or above public sidewalk areas. Property owners may be required by the City to trim trees or vegetation that interfere with appropriate sidewalk clearance. Please be aware that the City may issue notices or fines independently of the Association for properties that do not meet City requirements. To help avoid potential issues, Management recommends taking a few minutes to evaluate the trees on your property and, where applicable, prune back overgrown branches before the winter season. This is also a good opportunity to remove dead or damaged branches and ensure trees are properly maintained ahead of winter weather.

Please note that Management will not be communicating with the City on behalf of individual homeowners regarding City notices, inspections, or fines. Any correspondence or enforcement issued by the City will need to be addressed directly between the homeowner and the City.

A Reminder About Tree Topping

When pruning your trees, please remember that tree topping is not an approved method of tree maintenance within the Association. Topping—removing large portions of the upper canopy or cutting major branches back to stubs—can damage the health, structure, and appearance of a tree.

Residents are encouraged to use proper pruning practices and, when appropriate, consult a qualified tree-care professional.
